Challenge
Users who used the platform infrequently struggled to quickly find specific answers within their in-app portfolio. This made it difficult to surface insights on demand, slowed decision-making, and increased reliance on support.
Solution
We envisioned an AI-powered search that lets users ask natural questions like, “How has my implied value in ABC company changed since the first investment?” The system analyzes structured and unstructured data to surface insights and suggests relevant queries based on similar user behavior.
Outcomes
While the initiative remained conceptual, the initiative sparked cross-functional momentum, driving conversations around AI feasibility, aligning teams on data infrastructure, and helping justify the formation of a dedicated data science team. It also laid the groundwork for future AI-driven capabilities.
